ANTHONY HACKER
August 20.1945-November 04, 2020
It is with great sadness we announce the passing of Anthony Hacker of Ormond Beach Florida.
Anthony was born in the Bronx, New York where he resided at 812 Revere Avenue until realizing
his lifelong dream of living in Florida
Born August 20,1945. Anthony gained his wings November 4,2020 after a long illness.
He passed peacefully at Halifax Hospice with his heartbroken wife at his side.
Anthony loved the water, fishing and boating. Most days were spent doing what made him the
happiest with his wife always at his side. His most memorable trip was last year when family
and friends went deep sea fishing in Key Largo.
Anthony, a baker by trade, had a family bakery in the Bronx, Hacker's Bakery, then relocated
to New Rochelle for many years.
Anthony continued a tradition started by his father upon retiring of baking thousands of cookies
every Christmas to be generously gifted to family, friends and anyone who touched his life.
Anthony loved to travel and go to new places. Atlantic City with the cuzz and cuzz. Las Vegas
where we were married and many cruises. Taking the grandkids away made him the happiest.
Especially to his condo in Florida.
He joined Moose Lodge, Halifax Sport Fishing club and Freedom Boat Club .
Anthony was preceded in death by his father Ludwig Hacker, his mother Magdalena Eich Hacker
and his brother-in-law Roland Morlock.
Anthony is survived by his loving wife Diane Hacker, his beautiful daughter
Christine Bannerman of New York, his wonderful son Scott Hacker of New York and his caring
daughter-in-law Carmen Hacker of New York
And his cherished grandchildren Amanda Bannerman, Marisa Hacker, Vannessa Bannerman,
and Anthony Hacker.
Also his sister Barbara Morlock of New York, brother-in-law Elvis Rodriguez of Florida and
sister-in-law Nancy Rodriguez of Florida.
Neices and nephews Karen, Frank, Ashley, Jono, Holly, Debbie, Eddie, Danielle, Kelly, Denise,
Anthony, Alyssa, Lillana, and Vinny
Uncle Leo and Aunt Elvira
And all his cousins and his many friends who touched him and he touched.
What we will remember most about my Tony is his love for his family. his generosity and
his kindness.
Anthony will always be missed and nothing will ever be the same.
A service of remembrance will be celebrated later in New York.
