Anne P. Wentzel 84 of Palm Coast Florida passed away on February 12 2012 at Florida Hospital Flagler. Visitation will be held Sunday February 19th 4pm - 6pm at the Lohman Funeral Home Palm Coast 220 Palm Coast Parkway SW Palm Coast FL. and Monday February 20th 10 am until the Mass of Christian Burial at 11 am at the St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Catholic Church 4600 Belle Terre Parkway Palm Coast FL. Anne was born February 19 1927 in Reading Pa to the late Nunzio and Veronica (Fecera) Palumbo. She attended and graduated from Reading Catholic H.S. and earned her Bachelor's degree from Kutztown University. Anne worked for many years in the education field first teaching in Salem NJ; then in the Pottsgrove school system in Pottstown Pa where she later served as director of guidance until her retirement in 1985. In July 1985 Anne and her husband John moved to Palm Coast. In her retirement years Anne was very active in the community as a volunteer and member of numerous church and service organizations. She also enjoyed her time reading sewing entertaining for friends and family and was an avid Bridge player. Anne is preceded in death by her sisters Antoinette and Dorothy. She is survived by her beloved husband of 59 years John Wentzel of Palm Coast son Paul Wentzel of Reading PA daughter Carol Shepherd and her husband Gary of Port Orange FL. sisters Lorraine Tarnoski of Reading Pa. Jean Villari of Audubon NJ Patricia Mendel and her husband Tom of Palm Coast FL. She was also the loving grandmother of Ashley John Jordan and Joy. Anne also leaves behind many nieces nephews and many special friends. Donations in Anne's name may be made to SEAS School- Anne P.
