Obituary

Betty Anne Slifka, 80 of Titusville, Florida passed away peacefully while under hospice care in Palm Coast Florida on Wednesday, January 28, 2015. Anne was born to the late Robert and Rebecca Golson on August 8, 1934 in Montgomery, Alabama and was the oldest of five children.

She was a loving, adoring Mother and Aunt to her daughters Gayle Slifka, Sharon Slifka, her late son Howard R. Slifka and her nephew Curtis Massey, as well as her adopted honorary children, Danny Hill, David Hawks, Amy Finn and Karen Toppi.

In her early years, Anne grew up on a 2000 acre working cattle ranch. She developed a true passion for cooking Grand Southern meals, loving and caring for her family, friends and a host of furry Grandchildren. Always one who loved reading a good spy novel, watching Harry Potter on the big screen or deep sea fishing, some of her most treasured times were spent assisting in the sewing room for Cocoa Village Playhouse and baking her legendary Chocolate Chip Cookie Bars (aka The Slifka Bar's) for the cast and crew. Anne lived her life from her warm kind heart and will be lovingly missed by her family and friends.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made in memory of Anne Slifka to: HOPE TO HELP Foundation, Inc., 5 Boulder Rock Drive, Suite D, Palm Coast, Florida 32137

In celebration of her life and her passion, all donations made in her name will go directly to providing meals of comfort and love to the families of mothers who are battling Cancer. Anne will be remembered for her selfless generosity to those in need. Arrangements are under the careful direction of Lohman Funeral Home Palm Coast.
