Obituary

Anne Maria Parker, born March 8th, 1923 passed away peacefully July 2nd, 2016 surrounded by her loving family at her bedside. She was born in Brooklyn New York and married her devoted husband Alfred in November 1950 and together they brought 4 adoring children into the world. She worked for Grumman Aerospace until her retirement at which time she and Alfred moved to Florida. They lived a full life which included family, travel and friends. Anne's preferred vacation spot was Las Vegas and she had a quick hand and a bit of luck at the Slot machines. Her favorite pastime was "any good book" or a quick game of cards with her children or grandchildren. Her family was her life and she will be assuredly missed by all. Her wit, recipes, sense of humor, dedication, devotion and "famous sayings" will be carried on through the generations. We were all blessed to have had her as our wonderful Matriarch for all these years.
She is survived by her husband of 65 years, Alfred S. Parker, her sons Scott Parker and Ronald Parker and his wife Pamela, her daughter Kathryn Disbrow and 3 loving grandsons, Ryan, Austin and Landon Disbrow. Viewing for family and friends will be Wednesday July 6 from 5-7 PM at the Lohman Funeral Home 1201 Dunlawton Ave. Port Orange with a Mass of Christian Burial on Thursday July 7 at 8:30 AM at our Lady of Hope Catholic Church, Port Orange.
