Annabelle "Ann" Dooley, 88 of Daytona Beach, Florida, passed away on Monday, March 6, 2017 at FL Hospital Memorial HospiceCare, Ormond Beach.
She was born Sept. 16, 1928 in Quincy, Illinois to Charles and Leta (Malcomb) Gierth.
Ann has been a resident of Daytona Beach since 1974 relocating from Grand Rapids, Michigan. She graduated with Honors from Western Michigan University with a degree in Education. She went on to teach at Godwin HS in Grand Rapids, the English Literature Institute, at the Daytona State College and taught Honors English at Spruce Creek HS
She enjoyed spending time with her friends and playing bridge and shopping.
Annabelle was preceded in death by her loving husband or 36 years, Julian Dooley, and her son, James Lee Dooley. She is survived by daughter, Sandy Clover, of Palm Coast, FL, her grandchildren, Mendi (Marc) Bartell of Henderson, NV, Kelly Reeves of Irvine, CA, and Stacie (Jeremy) Courson of Palm Coast, by two great-grandchildren, Emilie and Zacharie Courson. She is also survived by her brother, Charles R. Gierth of Knoxville, TN and by three nephews.
A Service of Remembrance will be celebrated on Wednesday, March 29th at 2:00 pm at St. James Episcopal Church; 38 S Halifax Dr, Ormond Beach, FL
