Anna T. Monaco, 81, a resident of Port Orange, FL. died peacefully on Tuesday, December 5th after a brief struggle with cancer. Anna was born July 14, 1936 to Angelo and Josephine (Barbagello) Montone in New York City, where she was raised and attended school.

In May of 1959 she married the love of her life, Cono Monaco, and raised their two children. Anna devoted her life to her family, especially raising her children and grandchildren. She moved from New York to Port Orange in 2004, and loved volunteering in the school system, especially at Cypress Creek Elementary. Anna treasured the time she spent traveling with her beloved husband and thoroughly enjoyed the time she got to spend with her friends.

A Funeral Mass will be held for Anna on Thursday, December 14th at Our Lady of Hope Catholic Church at 8:30 a.m. with entombment following at Daytona Memorial Park. Calling hours will be held Wednesday, December 13th at Lohman Funeral Home Daytona from 4:00 – 6:00 p.m. In lieu of flowers, please consider a donation in Anna's name to Halifax Health Hospice, 3800 Woodbriar Trail, Port Orange ,FL. 32129.
