Anna Maria Brown, 67, passed away on November 27, 2014, after a long battle with cancer. Anna fought the good fight and her faith in God ever sustained her. Anna was a beloved wife, mother, historian, poet, author, composer, artist, theologian, secretary, teacher, translator, braille typist, and a victims advocate.

She is predeceased by her husband, Herbert, and together they believed that charity begins at home. Over the years there were many veterans, homeless, and victims that they cared for in their home, asking for nothing in return except for maybe a handshake, a prayer or blessing.

Anna's final wish was to have a Catholic Mass of Christian Burial. Mass will be held at 8:30 am on Wednesday, December 10, 2014 at Our Lady of Hope Catholic Church in Port Orange, since there are no known family or relatives, please join Tim McPadden and the staff of Oaktree Healthcare at her funeral. Burial will be private. Arrangements are under the careful direction of Lohman Funeral Home Port Orange.
