Ann Z. Sabato 87 a resident of Daytona Beach Shores passed away in the early hours of May 7 2012. A gathering of family and friends will take place Thursday May 10 2012 from 10:00am - 11:00am at Cardwell Funeral Home. The funeral service will follow the gathering promptly at 11:00am. Ann was born and raised in Brooklyn New York on January 14 1925 to Carmello and Maria Zerbo. She was one of three children including her sister Angelina and brother Carl. In 1954 she married Anthony Sabato with whom she raised two sons. Ann was a teacher in her hometown of Brooklyn and served 35 years on the Board of Education for the City of New York. In 1987 Ann relocated to the Daytona Beach area where she became a parishioner at the Church of the Epiphany. Some of her passions and hobbies on which her loved ones reflect so fondly include her love for traveling the world gambling going out with her friends and her delectable cooking. Those left to cherish their memories of Ann are: sons Daniel Sabato (Angela) and David Sabato; Sister Angelina Kaufman of Ohio; and Grandchildren Stephanie Ann Boyd and Devon Marie Sabato.
