Ann V. Maffetone 87 passed away January 9 2013. A funeral mass in her honor will be held on Monday January 14 2013 at 10:00 A.M at Church of the Epiphany 201 Lafayette Street Port Orange FL. A visitation will be on Sunday January 13 2013 from 2:00 P.M to 5:00 P.M at Baggett and Summers Funeral Home 736 S. Beach Street Daytona Beach FL. Ann was born to Joseph and Jennie LaMagna in Brooklyn New York. She was preceded in death by her beloved husband of 38 years Andrew C. Maffetone. Those left behind to honor her memory are her dear son Joseph M. (Joan) Sorrentino grandchildren; Joseph II (Shawntel) Sorrentino Michael David (Alessandra) and Johanna. Caring sister of Joseph (Mary) LaMagna Jr. of Monroe Maine and Marie (Sal) Tornabene of Daytona Beach Shores FL. From 1957 to 1965 Ann worked as an executive secretary for Brillo Manufacturing Company. She also was a secretary for a Bank in Manhattan New York and a hospital Brooklyn New York. Remembering Ann one can only think of her legacy while she logged many hours as a volunteer at Halifax Hospital and Epiphany Catholic Church. She adored the staff at Halifax Hospice of Volusia Flagler for their wonderful care. Arrangements are under the careful direction of Baggett and Summers Funeral Home.
