Ann M. Brittain 93 of Daytona Beach passed away peacefully on September 18 2011. A gathering of family and friends will take place at the Lohman Funeral Home Port Orange on Thursday September 22 2011 from 3:00pm - 4:00pm immediately followed by a Memorial Service at 4:00pm. Ann's family and friends will gather at Mango Sun 1185 W. Granada Blvd from 5:00pm- 7:00pm after the Memorial Service. Ann was born on August 30 1918 in Alliance Ohio. She married the love of her life William Brittain in 1943 and settled in Youngstown Ohio to raise her family. Ann and William had three sons and two daughters. In 1979 Ann and William relocated to Daytona Beach. Ann was a beloved wife adoring mother and a cherished grandmother and great grandmother. Ann was full of life and had many hobbies and passions in which she always included friends and family. Ann loved to play cards go shopping cook and travel by land and sea. Ann especially loved her dogs and working with her son Jim at his restaurants Mango Sun Caf and Indigo Lakes. Ann will be dearly missed by all who knew and loved her. Ann was predeceased by her dear husband William and two sons William Jr. and John. Those left to cherish their memories of Ann are her son Jim Brittain; daughters Linda Carney and Kathleen O'Day; six grandchildren and three great grandchildren. Memorial donations in Ann's honor may be made to the Halifax Humane Society or Second Chance 308-9465. Arrangements are under the careful supervision of Lohman Funeral Home Port Orange.
