Angela Flores-Acosta 86 of Port Orange passed away on Friday April 17 2009 in Port Orange Florida.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 8:30 am at Our Lady of Hope Catholic Church 4675 Clyde-Morris Blvd. on Friday April 24 2009. The family will be receiving friends on Thursday from 3 pm until 6 pm at the Lohman Funeral Home Port Orange 1201 Dunlawton Avenue Port Orange.
Angela was born on December 30 1929 in Yauco Puerto Rico. from She was a nurse in the U.S. Army. Angela graduated Boston College with a Masters Degree in Health Services and retired from the Health and Human Services Department. Angela was a member of Our Lady of Hope Catholic Church and loved cooking for her family.
She is survived by her loving husband of 51 years Jesse Acosta of Port Orange; Sons J. Acosta Jr of Jacksonville FL and Joseph Acosta of San Francisco CA.; her two daughters Frances M. Pell of New Market MD and Agnes M. Hassan of Severn MD. Her brothers Eladio Flores of New York City and Mr. Flores of Lorain OH; her sisters Maria Salato of Pocono PA and Cristina Velazquez of Lorain OH; and seven grandchildren.
