Andrew J. Patterson went home to our Lord on November 17, 2016.
He was born on December 18, 1927 to Irish immigrants; Andrew proudly served his country in the U.S. Army. He earned his Bachelors degree in Electrical Engineering from Brooklyn Poly Technical and worked for Ford Instrument and then for Sperry on Long Island, NY for many years.
Andrew was known affectionately as Andy, he is survived by his three children, Andrew T. Patterson and his wife Pamela, Karen Nilsen and her husband Mark and their children Nicole and Christopher, Gail Patterson and her husband Chris Raridon and their children Derek and Troy.
Andy shared his last 21 years with his partner Sheila Rosenthal, enjoying a wonderful retirement together. Through their relationship, Andy and Sheila enjoyed the love of Sheila's children as well, Kathy Rosenthal and her daughters, Grace and Anna, Mark Rosenthal and his husband Alan, Hope Rosenthal and her husband Nick Psathas and their son Nathan.
Andy never knew a stranger and enjoyed traveling, golf and playing cards with friends. His sense of humor, pride and love will be surely missed.

Services will be on Wednesday Nov. 23, 2016 at 10:00 AM from the Lohman Funeral Home 1201 Dunlawton Ave. Port Orange, including a viewing for family and friends on Tuesday Nov. 22, 2016 from 6-8 PM. Burial will follow in Daytona Memorial Park.
