Andrew M. Norberg of Palm Coast peacefully went to be with the Lord on Saturday May 22 2010 at the Stuart F. Meyer Hospice House. Andy was born on October 22 1935 in Staten Island NY to Molly and Andrew Norberg. He was a graduate of Sacred Heart Grammar School and St. Peters H.S. He married the love of his life Nora Purtill who predeceased him in 1992. He and Nora had three sons whom Andy loved to coach at Mid-Island Little League Staten Island Pop Warner and the Titan League. An avid sports fan he loved the Fighting Irish of Notre Dame and the NY football Giants. Andy worked as a Supervisor at the US Postal Service and upon his retirement there he worked at the college of Staten Island as a supervisor of the mailroom. He moved to Palm Coast in 1999 where he attended daily Mass at St. Elizabeth Ann Seaton Catholic Church. He also enjoyed his morning breakfast with his Palm Coast buddies and weekly lunches with good friends Jimmy and John. He was also a member of the Knights of Columbus and the Notre Dame Club of Staten Island. Left to cherish his life and memories are his sons Kevin (Diane) Norberg Eddie (Sue) Norberg and Drew (Ginger) Norberg he is also survived his brothers Robert and George and was predeceased by his brother "Babe". He loved and will be greatly missed by his pride and joy granddaughters Courtney Caitlyn Kerry and Tara Norberg. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to Stuart F. Meyer Hospice House.
