Andres was born on December 30, 1924 in Las Marias, Puerto Rico to Jose Malines and Rosa Aviles. Due to the harsh living and economic conditions of Puerto Rico, as a young child Andres had to stop attending school to help his father in the farming industry. He would assist his father with crop work and selling at the local market. During his 20s he sought after a better life and moved to the United States: Bronx, NY. He later became a skillful tailor, jeweler, and timepiece repair-man.

Andres resided in the Bronx, NY; Hartford, CT; Bridgeport; CT, and eventually took full retirement in Deltona, FL. Early retirement was spent in Bridgeport, CT where he spent time with his children, grandchildren, and other family members. He enjoyed spending time at Santa Maria Grocery with his sons Angel and Robert at this little bodega on Stratford Ave. Late retirement was spent in Deltona, FL with his daughters Ana (son-in-law, Garfield Lyons) and Alice (son-in-law, Francisco "Ricky" Barreto), his sister Felicita (brother-in-law Simon "Simoncito" Soto), and many other loving family members and friends.

He enjoyed helping others with his skills. He was a crafty tailor and would, with precision alter and fix suits and other articles of clothing for friends, family members, and various clergymen/women. He found delight in gardening and nursing plant-life back to health. He was an excellent Domino player and would play rounds with grandchildren and great-grands; he would often win humbly. As he became home bound due to health conditions, it brought him great joy as he received visits from his grandchildren, great-grands, nieces, and dear family and friends.

Andres knew the Lord and came to grow a deeper relationship with Jesus Christ while attending El Asamblea de Dios del Ministerio Hispano de la Trinidad. He also enjoyed much fellowship and visits to the Light House Pentecostal Church of Jesus and New Covenant Ministries in Christ.

Andres is predeceased by his parents; brothers: German Malines, Santos Malines, Julio Malines; son: Harry Malines. He is survived and will truly be missed by his loving sister: Felicita Soto (FL); brother: Fabian Malines (PR); sons: Andres Malines (PR), Jose Malines (PR), Angel Malines (CT), Robert Malines (CT), Nelson Malines (FL); loving daughters: Ana Lyons (FL) and Alice Barreto (FL); and a host of nieces, nephews, grandchildren, great-grandchildren, family, friends, and brothers and sisters in Christ.
