A Memorial Mass for Anastasia "Esther" McCloskey 79 of Ormond Beach will be held at Prince of Peace Catholic Church on Monday October 5 2009 at 10:00am. Esther passed away Thursday morning September 24th under the care of Hospice. Esther was born and raised in Ansonia Connecticut and retired to Ormond Beach in 1985 with her husband Francis "Bob" McCloskey. Both Esther and Bob were devoted members of Prince of Peace Catholic Church active in various ministries including bereavement choir and church office. She will be best remembered for her positive outlook on life her compassion for the needy and her faith in God. Esther was preceded in death by her husband Bob her brother-in-law Ed McCloskey and her sister Helen McCloskey. Esther leaves behind four children: Karol Russell and son-in-law Bill Russell of Marietta GA; Gerry McCloskey of Brandford Ct; Bobbi Siebold of St. Petersburg FL; Shaun McCloskey and daughter-in-law Joey McCloskey of Greenville NC; six Grandchildren: Michael Siebold Alexis McCloskey Ashley McCloskey Brian Russell Kiran McCloskey and Tara McCloskey. In addition to her biological family Esther also leaves behind a beautiful Church Family and wonderful caring neighbors. The family wishes to thank all those caring people who looked out for our mother's well being since her husband's passing in 2003.
