Amy G. Hartsel age 78 of Port Orange passed away quietly on Tuesday March 31 2009. A funeral service in her honor will be held Friday April 3 2009; 11:00 AM at the Daytona Chapel of the Lohman Funeral Home. Interment will follow at Daytona Memorial Park. Mrs. Hartsel was born in Athens Alabama to Gorge and Annis Gora she dedicated her life as a wife mother grandmother and great grandmother. Amy came to the Daytona Beach area around 25 years ago and enjoyed sewing and gardening but mostly being surrounded by her family that she loved so very much.
Her parents and a brother Hugo Cora preceded her in death. She leaves behind to cherish her memory her devoted husband of 49 years; Richard Hartsel Sr. 4 children; Franca Champine Brenda Durliat Amy DeVine and Richard D. Hartsel Jr. 3 children by marriage; Rita O'Brien Cathrine Pratt and Judith Parker 5 siblings; Lewis Gora George Gora Jr. Berta Merolli Helen Taylor and Barbara Carter 13 grand children and 15 great grandchildren.
