Amelia Seaholm, 101, of Deland, FL, entered the gates of larger life and went to her heavenly reward on September 26, 2015. She was born in Duryea, PA, on September 24, 1914, to the late Toefila and Alexander Jaskiewicz. She was preceded in death by a brother, Matthew, and sister, Stella. Aimee was married to her loving husband, Nils (Jack) Seaholm, for 60 years before he died in 1992. Before moving to Deland in 1974 Aimee resided in Gardiner, New York, where she and her husband owned Seaholm's Country Rest, a country inn. Her husband served many years as a deputy sheriff in Ulster County, New York. During WWII Aimee worked in a Brooklyn Defense Plant. She was a talented water color painter and homemaker. She was a loving, giving, and caring person. She was also a member of the Breuklen (Brooklyn) chapter of the Order of the Eastern Star for over 60 years. She leaves behind a nephew and Godson, Matthew J. Jaskiewicz and his wife Gloria, of Hughesville, MD, a niece, Ann Marie Klinko, of Annandale, VA; and numerous great and grand nieces and nephews. She will be missed greatly by her family and friends. A Celebration of Life will be held on Thursday, October 1, 2015 at 10:30am at Lohman Funeral Home Deland Chapel. A Gathering of family and friends will be held from 10:00am to 10:30am. Burial will immediately follow the Celebration of Life at Deland Memorial Gardens. In lieu of flowers the family requests memorial contributions in her name made to St Peter's Catholic Church, 359 West New York Ave, Deland FL 32720 or Halifax Hospice 1625 Veterans Memorial Parkway, Orange City, FL 32763.
