Amelia Guadagnino age 89 of Deland passed away following a short illness on Friday January 14 2011. A funeral mass in her honor will be held Tuesday January 18 2011; 11:15 AM at St. Peter Catholic Church 359 W. New York Ave. Deland followed by an interment at Deland Memorial Gardens. A visitation will be held 5:00 - 8:00 PM Monday Jan. 17 at the Deland Chapel of the Lohman Funeral Homes. Amelia was born in the Bronx New York to Charles and Catherine Muro a strong resourceful woman was the driving force of her husbands Interior Design Company in the Bronx; Square Decorators in Boca Raton; Boca Raton Drapery and lastly in Deltona; Pat's Drapery Service. She was a member of a rare breed: brilliant nurturing and independent who enjoyed crossword puzzles taking care of her plants daytime dramas and love to read. She got much pleasure from her membership in many clubs: Riviera Beach Club and especially the Veritas and Accardi Sons of Italy Lodges but most of all Amelia devoted herself to her family.

She leaves behind her beloved husband of almost 69 years Patsy Guadagnino a son Anthony (Nancy) Guadagnino Deland FL a daughter: Kathy Marino Ocala FL a sister Rose Falcone Bronx NY 6 grandchildren and 2 great grandchildren.
