Obituary

Dr. Amar Nath Singh, 61, of Ormond Beach, Florida, passed away unexpectedly, as a result of a heart attack, after a long battle with heart disease on Thursday January 11th, 2024 in Port Orange, Florida. He was born in Ranchi, India on Saturday January 20th, 1962 to the late Ram Narayan Singh and Parvati Devi.  Dr. Amar Singh spent his early childhood and school years in Ranchi, India.  He was a Graduate of Mahatma Gandhi Memorial Medical College in Jamshedpur, India in 1988.

He married his beloved Wife, Sangeeta Singh, on March 9th, 1991 and together they welcomed their first daughter in 1992, their second daughter in 1996, and then their son in 2007.  In December 1994 he came to the United States and moved to Pembroke Pines, Florida.  In 1995 he began his journey of becoming a physician in the United States.  In 1997 he began his residency at Texas Tech Health Science Center in Amarillo, Texas.  He Graduated from Texas Tech Health Science Center in 2000 as a fully trained, Board Certified General Pediatrician.

In 2001 he worked in Wake Forest, North Carolina and then he moved his family to Atlanta for work from 2002 – 2005.  In 2005 he moved to Daytona Beach where he was a locally practicing General Pediatrician for over 18 years. He loved his career of helping the children of his community in any way that he possibly could.

He loved spending time with family and friends, and celebrating every occasion. The outdoors was another passion of his, as he enjoyed working in his yard, going to the beach, and riding his bike. He loved his culture, his country, and his religion was extremely important to him, as a proud and devoted Hindu.

Dr. Amar was a dedicated and deeply loved and loving Husband, Father, Brother, Uncle, Doctor, Mentor and Friend.  He was the Hardest working man EVER known.  He was strong, loving, kind, knowledgeable, and a mentor to many. He was a fighter until the end

He is survived by his Loving and Devoted Wife, Sangeeta Singh; Three Children, Anupriya, Amriti, and Shivam Singh;  Two Older Brothers, Ramchandra Ram and Nandkishore Ram; One Older Sister, Usha Verma, all of whom reside in India.

A Visitation/Funeral Service will be held from 11:30am - 1:00pm on Friday January 19, 2024 in the Chapel at Lohman Funeral Home Daytona.
