Obituary

Alyce Joyce Patrick 86 of Espanola FL. Matron of "Old Florida" passed away peacefully at home on November 12 2011. A visitation will be held on Thursday November 17 2011 from 4:00 - 7:00 PM at Lohman Funeral Home Palm Coast 220 Palm Coast Parkway Palm Coast FL. A Graveside service will be held on Friday November 18 2011 at 10:00AM at the Espanola Cemetery in Espanola Florida. Joyce was born in Galva Illinois on October 20 1925. Her parents Harley & Mabel Emery then came South in the FL. boom with six month old Joyce & her other siblings to Samsula. Eventually they settled into Flagler rebuilding from the "Live and Let Live camp" a store and retreat on the historical brick Old Dixie Highway. Joyce was community minded. She was a charter member of Old Kings Highway DAR & an honored member of the VFW and a soprano in the church choir. Joyce became adept at packing as her husband and family weathered over 20 military transfers. Joyce was preceded in death by her two husbands William L. Patrick and Howard Willis also her eldest daughter Pamla Joyce. She is survived by her daughter Alyce Kasm Patrick of Asheville NC sons William E. Patrick and his wife Joan of N.D. and Mark L. Patrick of Palm Coast FL. She was also the loving grandmother too her grandchildren Abby and Ashley of Mandan N.D. Shelly Bradford and Timothy of Palm Coast FL. Hana and her husband Chris Sand "The Rappen Cowboy" of Missoula Montana.
