Clarice was born on March 15, 1936 in Palatka, FL. She passed away on August 29, 2019 surrounded by her loving family after a long battle with cancer. When Clarice was 7 years old her Mother, Catherine, passed away, and she was raised by her Grandmother, Ida Waters and her Mother's sister, Doris Baker and family. Clarice attended Putnam County Schools and while at Mellon High she met her future husband, Donald when she was 15 years old in 1951. They were married two years later and had their first child Constance in 1954 and then Stephen in 1957. Clarice and Don made their home in Palatka until 1973, when Donald's career moved them to Jacksonville, FL. They later made moves to Mobile, AL and eventually Atlanta, GA where they lived until 2003. In April of 2003 they moved to Palm Coast, FL to be closer to their children and grandchildren. Clarice enjoyed being a Mother and housewife and not until her children were older, she worked at Central States Bag Factory and J. C. Penney in Palatka, FL. The pleasures she enjoyed most were going to the beach, swimming in the pool, and shopping for herself and family.
