Alma B. Benedict of Daytona Beach Florida passed away peacefully surrounded by her family on December 10 2010. She was 80 years old. Alma was born in Tellico Plains TN on February 28 1930 to the late Lester Mason and Clara (Morton) Mason. A Memorial Service will be held in Alma's honor at a later date to be announced by her family. Alma is survived by her daughter Sandi Mitchell and her husband Iain of Edgewater FL; her sisters Geneva Curtis of Athens TN; and Eva Jo Smith of Chattanooga TN; her 2-grandchildren Kristen Kozinski and her husband Cameron of Holly Hill FL; and Samantha Zinn of Edgewater FL. Alma moved to the Daytona Beach area over 45 years ago from TN. She dedicated her life to nursing and worked as a Registered Nurse at Halifax Medical Center for over 20 years; where she found great pleasure helping others.
