Allen G. Yeomans 61 passed away at his home in Port Orange on November 30 2008.
Visitation will be 6 to 8 p.m. Friday at the Lohman Funeral Home in Port Orange.
Allen was born on January 18 1947 in Catskill NY the son of Galatian H. Yeomans and Marcia E. Knowles. He attended Greenville Central School and spent his summers as a teenager working at the family business Yeomans Garage in Norton Hill New York. Upon graduating in 1967 he was employed full time there until 1969 when he enlisted in the United States Navy and served aboard the U.S.S. Tautaug submarine. After completing his service he returned home to the family business until his move to Fl. in 1982 where he was employed as a transmission specialist at Sunrise Olds in Daytona Beach. His hobbies include corvette restoration and scuba diving.
Allen is survived by his beloved son Saun who is currently serving in the U.S. Army in Iraq daughter-in-law Alicia step-son Paul Schassberger and beloved grandchildren Hailey Myah Skylar and Ashlie. Also two sisters Dianne C. Yeomans of Edgewater Gail Quagliano of NY. two brothers Gary Yeomans of Ormond Beach Walter Yeomans of Palm Coast and Step-mother Ethel Yeomans of Ormond Beach.
