Allen Wesley Thurber age 79 of Port Orange died February 14 2008. Allen was born in Springfield MA January 17 1929. He moved to Port Orange from Ludlow MA in 1986. He was a graduate of Northwestern University. Allen served as a U.S. Marine in W.W.II. He was a member of the Eagles American Legion and the Veterans of Foreign Wars. He enjoyed sailing building things in his home playing cards and spending time with his best friend Constance.
He is survived by his loving wife of 30 years Constance Plourde Thurber; son Phillip Thurber of Florance MA; Daughter Vicki Kaiser of Waynesboro PA; stepsons Michael (Jennifer) Trombley of Springfield MA Bryan Trombley of Springfield MA; Sisters Virginia Paveloi Fern (Gordon) Moore; brother-in-law William (Joanne) Plourde of Port Richie FL; many grandchildren great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren. He will be dearly missed by his family his friends and Ralph Herrig and Thomas Kelly. A special thanks to his caregiver Brandon Parrish
