Allen Leonard Talbot age 89 Port Orange formerly of Annapolis Maryland passed away in his home surrounded by those he loved on Monday November 9 2009. A 4:00 p.m. visitation until the 6:30 p.m. service time will be held Friday November 13 2009 at the Daytona Chapel of the Lohman Funeral Home. A funeral service and interment will follow in Annapolis Maryland at Kalas Funeral Home and Hillcrest Cemetery. Allen was born in Annapolis Maryland to Mobrey and Elizabeth Talbot. He was a WWII veteran of the U.S. Army and dedicated years of his talents as an Inspector for the U.S. Naval Ship Yard. Mr. Talbot was a proud member of VFW Post 304 The Chapel of Faith Church Daytona Beach lifetime member of the Elks Club of Port Orange FL and for many years a Deacon at College Ave. Baptist Church in Maryland. He enjoyed bowling fishing church activities but most of all spending time with his family and friends. He will best be remembered as a loving man with a kind word or action for all that knew him. His parents two sisters Katherine Trott and France Martinis both of Annapolis MD and his beloved wife of 59 years Hazel Talbot preceded him in death. He leaves behind to cherish his memory; a daughter Carol Beall and her husband Paul; three grandchildren Katherine Brady Lesa Barber and Brian Huffer; a brother Edwin Talbot Summerfield FL; nine great-grandchildren; and nine and one-half great-great-grandchildren. In lieu of flowers the family request donation in his name to Hospice of Volusia Flagler 3800 Woodbriar Trail Port Orange FL 32129.
