Allen Justice, Jr., 91 years of age, passed away November 18th in his home in Charlotte, NC. Born in Oglethorpe, GA June 2, 1922, the son of Allen Justice and Mary Dyess Justice, he was married to Marion Smith Justice for 59 years. To this union was born two daughters, Linda Alvarado and Susan Henderson, and four grandchildren, Joel, Trevor, Tyler, and Katherine.
Allen was a career soldier in the United States Army. Achieving the rank of Master Sergeant with almost three decades of service, he proudly served in combat in World War II, Korea, and Vietnam, earning many honors, including The Purple Heart and Bronze Star.
After the passing of his first wife, Allen married Fairlene Bevins in 2005. They resided in DeLand, FL before relocating to Charlotte in 2009. Allen was preceded in death by several brothers, leaving to mourn his loss, daughters Susan and Linda, grandchildren Joel, Trevor, Tyler, and Katherine; wife Fairlene; son-in-law Jim Tickle; step grandchildren, Chadwick Tate and wife Laura, Carie Tate; step great grandchildren, Madison and Isaiah Carr; sister Arnell Ellis; brother Morris Justice and wife Pearl; sister-in-law Jo Justice; many nieces and nephews, and a host of friends.
Allen was a member of Stetson Baptist Church since 2006. He will be interred with his first wife, Marion, at DeLand Memorial Gardens.
