Allen Belus, 72 of Port Orange, Fl passed away unexpectedly on July 5, 2016 at Halifax Hospital surrounded by his family. Our hearts are overwhelmed with grief as we say goodbye to a wonderful man. He loved to laugh, travel, watch sports most of all, and he loved to spent time with his family. His love for his family was proven every day by his actions.
Allen was born on October 18, 1943 in Newark, NJ. He served 4 years in the United States Marine Corp. After the Marine Corp, he attended Benjamin Franklin University in Washington DC and went on to receive his CPA in the State of Maryland. He lived in Bowie, Md with his wife and children for 15 years before moving to Port Orange in 1985 to start their new venture. He was the owner of Business Control Service, Inc. with his wife and two children which is still operated by the Belus family.
Allen was a devoted husband, loving father, grandfather, great grandfather and a caring friend. He will be deeply missed by all. Survivors include his beloved wife of 51 years , Patricia Belus; children; Debi Belus Meredith (Brandon), of Port Orange, Florida, Michael Allen Belus (Tammy), of Port Orange, Fl his brother in law, Dennis Lilly (Denise) of Daytona Beach and his favorite mother in law, Nola Lilly of Port Orange, Fl. His niece, Lori Stoupakis, (Gus) NJ, and nephews, Dr. Gene Marino (Pamela) NJ, Scott Lilly (Laura) of North Carolina and Skip Lilly (Christel) of Daytona Beach. He leaves behind his most prized accomplishment in life, his beloved grandchildren, Tyler Kameh, Douglas Kameh, Cooper Meredith, Alexi Belus and great grandson Oliver Kameh who have made him so proud to be called Pop Pop. He was predeceased by his sister, Arleen Marino.
Funeral Services will be held on Saturday July 9, 2016 at 10:00 AM from the Lohman Funeral Home 1201 Dunlawton Ave. with a gathering of family and friends from 9:00 AM till the time of the service.
Burial with Military Honors will follow at Daytona Memorial Park, Daytona Beach..condolences may be shared at lohmanfuneralhomes.com
