Alice K. Wills

Funeral services for Alice K. Wills age 90 of Daytona Beach Shores will be held at 3:00 pm on Friday October 1 2004 in the chapel of Baggett & Summers Funeral Home with Rev. Jim Smith of Halifax Medical Center officiating. The family will receive friends at the funeral home for the hour prior to the service. Mrs. Wills passed away on Monday September 27 2004 at Bishops Glen.

Mrs. Wills was born in Pittsburgh Pennsylvania on September 26 1914 to Alexander and Alwina Krause. She became a resident of the Halifax area in 1951 having moved here from her native Pittsburgh.

During World War II Alice volunteered her time with Kaufmans Department Store helping to cater Veterans? affairs. She was a dedicated homemaker and family woman with a strong love of gardening. Mrs. Wills was a member of the Palmetto Club the Halifax River Yacht Club and was a Past President of the Tillansey Garden Club.

Alice was preceded in death by her husbands Edward G. Hartje Jr. in 1971 and Fred Wills in 2003; and by her sisters Alma Krause and Lee Stalnaker.

Left to cherish her memories are her son Edward G. Hartje III and his wife Carol Ann of Newcastle PA ; and her grandsons Edward G. Hartje IV and Elliot Charles Hartje.
