Alice A. Wiesmore ("Nini") 73, of Ponce Inlet, passed away at home with family by her side on Thursday, May 10, 2018.  Alice was born in Pinhancos, Portugal and later came to the US with her little sister, Laura to join their Mother in Ossining NY. She quickly adapted to her new life and graduated from Roy C. Ketchum High School. Alice married the love of her life, Ken and they went on to raise their three children in Sullivan County, NY. They moved to Ponce Inlet in 1989 where Alice started a Nursing Career. She found her calling and dutifully served the residents of Volusia County and the surrounding community for the past 30 years. She worked at Halifax Hospital and Shores Medical Center, and finished her career at Tui Family Medicine in Port Orange. She loved spending time with family and friends but spending time with her grandchildren brought her the greatest joy.  She was actively involved in her grandchildren's lives proudly sharing in their love of music, sports and most importantly, academics. She was a true Matriarch and will be greatly missed. Alice was preceded in death by her Husband, Ken Wiesmore, Son, Michael Wiesmore, Mother, Mary Schlitt, Sister, and Laura Pettit. She is survived by her Son, Stephen (Courtney), Daughter, Stacey (Scott) Grandchildren, Alyssa, Cole, Chase, Tess, Walker, Cousins, Nephews and Nieces. The family would like to thank Dr Tui, Joe and Cindy Rutz, Melinda Veilleux and all of her special friends. A celebration of her life will be held at Lohman funeral Home, 1201 Dunlawton Ave, Port Orange, FL on Saturday May 19, 2018. Visitation begins at 11am with the service to be 12:30 pm.
