Alice Josephine Bush, 94, of Ocala formerly of Port Orange, was Promoted to Glory on October 11, 2013.

She was the Beloved Wife of the late George Sherman Bush. She raised 3 daughters; Mrs. Arlene French, Mrs. Christine Griffin and the late Mrs. Charlotte Ulrich, and a son; the late Charles Bush. Alice has 10 Grandchildren and 11 Great-Grandchildren.

Alice loved children and helped raise 35 foster children. She worked for many years in nursing homes and nursery schools in Ithaca, NY. Alice was a church member of The Salvation Army. Due to her devotion to God and the Corp many children viewed her as a mother figure, as she was an intricate part of their daily lives. In lieu of flowers, her family asks that donations be made to The Salvation Army Building Fund in memory of Alice J. Bush.

A visitation is scheduled for Saturday October 19, 2013 from 11:00 A.M. - 12:00 P.M. at the Lohman Funeral Home - Daytona location. The funeral service will be on Saturday October 19, 2013 at 12:00 P.M. with Major George Patterson of the Ocala Salvation Army, officiating. The burial at Daytona Memorial Park - North is to follow.
