Alfred "Al" Paciello, 81, of Ormond by the Sea, FL, passed away April 10, 2015. A Memorial Service in his honor will be held Friday, April 17, 2015 at 11:00am at Grace Lutheran Church, 338 Ocean Shore Blvd., Ormond Beach, FL, 32176.

Al was born February 26, 1934 in Queens, NY to Nicholas and Agnes (McGovern) Paciello. He proudly served his country in the US Navy on the USS Harder submarine for 3 years. After service, Al started his career as a photo engraver. He worked for Graphic Color Plate in Bethel, CT on publications that included National Geographic, People, and the New Yorker.

In 1996 Al and his wife Kay retired to Ormond by the Sea. Al enjoyed the Florida community lifestyle of playing golf and always lending a helping hand to his neighbors. He always loved snow skiing, too. Al was a member of the Republican Club of Daytona Beach and Ormond Beach. He was also a member of the Moose, Eagles, and the Elks. Al was a faithful parishioner at Grace Lutheran Church.

Al is survived by his loving wife of 33 years, Kay Paciello; by his children: Reverend Michael A. Paciello, Patti McGovern, David J. Paciello, and Stephen J. Paciello; by his 5 grandchildren: Benjamin, Thibaut, Zachary, Aaron, and Lilly; by his brother-in-law Larry G. Spangler; by his beloved nephew Hart Levy, and by his beloved dog Tedi. Al was predeceased by his 5 sisters. Arrangements are under the careful direction of Lohman Funeral Home Ormond.
