Alfred H. DelGuidice 82 of South Daytona passed away on Tuesday November 9 2010. The family will receive guests for a visitation on Today November 12 2010 at Cardwell Funeral Home 3571 S. Ridgewood Ave Port Orange; from 5pm until 7pm. Funeral Services will be held on Saturday November 13 2010 at the VFW Hall 1013 Veterans Court Daytona Beach beginning at 3:30pm. A reception will immediately follow the service. Alfred was born in Queens New York on July 26 1928 to the late Alfonso and Emma (Schanio) DelGuidice. Alfred was an Army Veteran of the Korean War. After the Military he went on to work for Hialeah Sanitation as a Truck Driver. He spent most of his life volunteering with many organizations he was a member of such as the VFW American Legion Post 361 Moose Lodge Hialeah Race Track and the Eagles. He enjoyed playing bingo piano and pool. Alfred also loved to sing and enjoyed karaoke fishing crabbing and traveling the U.S in his motorhome but most of all he enjoyed spending time with his family. Alfred's zest for life touched many and brought smiles to all. He will be greatly missed by his beloved wife Irene DelGuidice many nieces nephews; extended family members and a multitude of friends. Alfred is preceded in death by his parents Alfonso and Emma; brothers Rudy and Victor; sisters Maria Yolanda and Gilda; son Alfred DelGuidice Jr who tragically passed away in 1984.
