Alfred Elmer Cheney 84 of Port Orange passed away February 15 2011. A Gathering for family and friends will be held Saturday February 19 2011 at the Chapel of Lohman Funeral Home Port Orange from 3:00pm - 4:00pm. A Memorial Service will immediately follow at 4:00pm at the Chapel of Lohman Funeral Home Port Orange.
Al was born November 16 1926 in Orange New Jersey. He was a survivor of World War II and Korea. After 20 years of military service he worked for Novartis Pharmaceutical in East Hanover New Jersey. He finally retired 18 years later and moved to Port Orange Florida.

He is survived by his wife of 58 years Patricia Lauer Cheney; Daughters Patty Ann Cheney Port Orange Fl; Carol Ann Cheney Mancuso Upper Saddle River NJ; Mary St. Clair Orlando FL; Sons A. Thomas Cheney Port Orange FL; James Cheney Hawthorne NJ; Grandchildren Ashley Mancuso Mark Mastrangelo T.J Mancuso Matthew Cheney Mariah Mastrangelo Tiffany Cheney Taylor Mancuso Rupali Parra and Natasha St. Clair. Also left to cherish their memories are numerous nieces nephews and friends.
