A Celebration of Life Gathering for Alexander "Alex" Davis 86 of Daytona Beach Shores who passed away on December 21 2007 will be held from 11 am to 12 noon Saturday January 5 2008 at the Port Orange Chapel of Lohman Funeral Homes. Alex was born on October 1 1921 to the late Harry and Pauline Davis in Lula Georgia. He retired from the U. S. Government as supervisor from Atlanta Army Depot and later moved to this area. Alex enjoyed boating until discovering golf which he loved to play and was a loyal fan of the Georgia Bulldogs. Alex was also a world traveler seeing the U.S. and Canada as well as Europe Mexico Cuba and the Islands. He leaves to cherish his memory his devoted wife of 64 years Ruby; sisters Doris McMillan and Winnie Vinson; several cousins nieces and nephews and many dear friends.
