1921 - 2006
Albert F. Mathon age 85 passed away at his home in Palm Coast on Wednesday May 17 2006. Albert was born in Connecticut on April 23 1921. He moved to Palm Coast from Long Island New York in 1997. Al was a veteran of the US Navy serving during WWII. He was a welder and owned his own welding shop in Hicksville NY. Al was also a welding instructor teaching at BOCES in Westbury NY. Al loved his work and especially enjoyed building motors and cars.
Al was preceded in death by his first wife Violet in 1992. Left to cherish his memories are his wife of 10 years Mary; children Vi Reilly of Texas Al Mathon of New York and Hank Mathon of New York; 6 grandchildren and 4 great grandchildren.
Al will be laid to rest next to Violet in Calverton National Cemetery on Long Island NY. There will be a memorial service at a later date. For memorial service info contact Al or Cathy Mathon @ 631-924-7480.
