Funeral service for Albert K. ""Al"" Tolley 54 Long Grove Lane Port Orange who passed away Wednesday August 16 2006 at Halifax Medical Center Daytona Beach will be 3 p.m. Monday August 21 at the First United Methodist Church of Port Orange with the Rev. Kim Joyner officiating. Interment with full honors will follow in Daytona Memorial Park. Friends may pay their respects at the funeral home from 2 p.m. until 5 p.m. Sunday August 20.
Mr. Tolley was born in Patchogue N.Y. and had lived here since 1974 coming from Long Island N.Y. He was the public relations officer for the Daytona Beach Police Department and had also worked for the Port Orange Police Department and the Ormond Beach Police Department. He was a veteran of the U. S. Air Force. Mr. Tolley was a member of the First United Methodist Church of Port Orange where he was a core leader of the Church and a member of the Honorable Order of Kentucky Colonels.
Mr. Tolley is survived by his wife of 21 years Jeanne; his daughter Amy Port Orange; three brothers Harold Tolley Cocoa Beach Nicholas Orlando Clearwater and Bob Orlando Las Vegas Nev.; and two sisters Linda Brown Ormond Beach and Rose Marie Abruntilla Davie; his mother-in-law Jo Merrithew Port Orange; and brother-in-law Jerry Merrithew Orlando.
In lieu of other remembrances memorial contributions may be made to the Al Tolley Memorial Trust Fund in care of any Sun Trust Bank of Volusia County or to the First United Methodist Church of Port Orange 305 Dunlawton Avenue Port Orange FL 32127.
