Aiko S. Saunders' Obituary
Aiko S. Saunders 81 of Ormond Beach Fl. passed away at home on August 31 2013 after a long illness.
She was born in Osaka Japan in 1932 and moved to the United States in 1958. She had been a resident of Ormond Beach/Daytona Beach since 1963. She was a wonderful mother gifted seamstress and an excellent cook.
Her fondest memories were of her father and mother in Japan and raising her children. She also loved to watch sports game shows and loved her pet cats.
Aiko is survived by her two children John Saunders and Liz Rhoden son in law Rick Rhoden grandson Tanner Rhoden and 2 sisters Kuni Shimizu and Sakae Morata.
Aiko will be dearly missed by family and friends.
In lieu of flowers the family is requesting that donations be made to Halifax Health Hospice of Volusia/Flagler 3800 Woodbriar Trail Port Orange FL 32129.
Her family welcomes friends to gather in her honor Friday September 6 2013 at Lohman Funeral Home Ormond Beach FL from 2:00-3:00 with the Memorial Service beginning at 3:00. Arrangements are under the careful direction of Lohman Funeral Home Ormond. Condolences may be shared with the family at www.lohmanfuneralhomes.com.
