Ahmet Nuri Sayin 87 of Coquina Point Drive in Ormond Beach passed away Sunday November 14th at his home. Dr. Sayin moved to this area in 1985 from Seaford Delaware and prior to then from Istanbul Turkey in 1948. He earned his PhD from Temple University in Philadelphia and then worked for DuPont Company in Seaford Delaware as a research chemist for 34 years. Locally he was active in several bridge clubs and taught chemistry for several years at Bethune Cookman College.
He will be sadly missed by his wife of 53 years Angela and their 6 children Errol Sayin of Oak Park Cal. Daniel Sayin of St. Petersburg Fla. Fred Sayin and Suzanne Sayin of Ormond Beach Sheila Logue of Coral Gables Fla. and Selma Sayin of Altamonte Springs Fla. He is also survived by 8 grandchildren and 1 sister Afife Sayin of Istanbul Turkey.
His graveside service was held Monday November 15th at Daytona Memorial Park. Donations in his memory may be made to Ormond Memorial Hopital Hospice Care.
