Adelaide D. Murphy, 87 of Ormond Beach, passed away on Thanksgiving evening, November 22, 2012. Born in the Bronx, NY, she moved to Ormond to be with her family in 1991. She was a member of Prince of Peace Catholic Church. She was an excellent seamstress and enjoyed performing with the Kollege Kapers in Naugatuck, CT, where she was a featured soloist and performed many comedy skits because of her wonderful sense of humor. Her love and devotion to her family was what she treasured most in the world.
She is survived by her daughter, Jeanne (Danny) Parisi; and two granddaughters, Danielle Jeanine and Jana. Jana was invaluable in assisting with giving her grandma extra TLC. She is also survived by special sisters-in-law Shirley Stoll and Drina Tamburo; as well as several nieces and nephews. Thanks to niece Valerie for all of her special attention. The family especially wants to thank the caregivers of the Golden Abbey where she resided for the last 3 years who treated her with as much care as anyone could ask for. Thank you to Bob and Carol of Odyssey Hospice without whose help we would not have had the peace of mind in this difficult time.
A private service will be held by the family. Arrangements are under the careful direction of Lohman Funeral Home Ormond.
