A Memorial Service for Addison L. Dixon 71 of Palm Coast FL who passed away at his residence on March 18 2008 will be held at 11:00am Monday March 24 2008 at Lohman Funeral Home Palm Coast 220 Palm Coast Pkwy SW Palm Coast FL 32137 with a reception to follow at his son's David Dixon's residence. Addison known to most as Dick was born on October 19 1936 in Rocky Mount NC to Thomas & Ruth Dixon and moved to the area in 1999. He retired from the U.S. Navy after 22 years of service and then went on to retire as a warehouse manager for the Pepsi Cola Co. in 1992. Addison received a degree in Criminology at DBCC at the age of 50 and then went to Rookie School to become a reserve deputy sheriff. He was affectionaly known as "Pop" but he was very proud when he graduated and became a deputy sheriff. He enjoyed working on cars boats riding motorcycles. After retirement he enjoyed motor homing with his wife Yvonne and being with his family and friends and cooking out as often as possible. He was a member of the VFW and the Elks Lodge. Survivors include his beloved wife Yvonne; his daughters: Debbie Segear Rebecca Dixon & Lori Mourikas; his sons: Joe Dixon Jim Dixon Michael Prida and David Dixon; along with 14 grandchildren and four great-grandsons.
