Memorial service for Adam D. Sheftall Jr 90 of Daytona Beach will be held in the chapel of Lohman Funeral Home Ormond on Friday April 27th at 5:00 p.m. with Pastor Larry Kirk officiating. His family will receive friends from 3:30 p.m. until time of service. Adam peacefully passed away Saturday morning at Halifax Medical Center. He was born in Chattanooga TN. His early career was in advertising. He proudly served both the Army and the Air Corps ranked as Master Sergeant and Chief Warrant Officer respectively. He moved to Daytona Beach in 1949 where he met and married his wife of 50 years Beatrice (aka Mama Bee). They owned and operated "American Clothing". Eventually he worked and retired from Halifax Hospital as Housekeeping and Safety Administrator. Adam was a member of Masonic Lodge #81 for 50 plus years as well as serving as a Shriner. He was a member of Downtown First Baptist for 58 years. Adam was an avid Gator fan fisherman and loved the "early days" of racing in Daytona. He never met a stranger and was ready to help anyone in need. He will be greatly missed by both family and friends. He was predeceased by his wife Beatrice twin brother Allen sister Idabelle. He is survived by his daughter BeLinda Shorts (Lawrence) Ormond Beach granddaughter Stephanie Laird Fort Wayne IN grandson Adam Shorts (Ormond) great-nephew Jordan Kinley (Tampa).
