Family will receive friends Wednesday February 2 2005 from 6:00 PM ? 8:00 PM at the Lohman Daytona Funeral Home.
Born June 6 1919 in Atlanta GA. the second of four children born to Walter and Fannie Mae Johnson Brooks.
Born in Atlanta she spent her early years in Miami FL. She moved to Daytona Beach Fl in 1956 and resided there until 1999 when she moved to Tallahassee to be closer to her family. Adelaide was a very active member of the Daytona Beach area Pilot Club events. She worked for many years with Holsum Bakeries Ramada Inn and Violet?s florist. She will be remembered for her tireless commitment to her family friends and community. Her greatest joy was being with her grandchildren as they grew up. She always made time to attend their birthday parties athletic games and graduations including most recently going to Chris? graduation from Flagler College in spite a broken bone in her neck.
She is preceded in death by husband of 38years Harold N. Evans as well as her three siblings Francis Koerner James Brooks and Robert Brooks.
She is survived by her two children Neal and wife JanetEvans and Jeannine Evans both of Tallahassee Fl; Three grandchildren Jennifer Evans Pensacola Chris and Patrick Evans both of Tallahassee FL; A great grandchild Korbin Evans Tallahassee; and sister in law Clara Tuttle Orlando Fl
