Remembering Aaron Wayne Ogburn

Edgewater,FL — A. Wayne Ogburn, age 84 passed away at his home in Edgewater, FL on Sunday, May 3, 2026.

A native of Tidewater, Virginia, Wayne was a devoted follower of the Episcopal faith and belonged to multiple churches throughout his life, including St. Stephen's Episcopal Church. He spent much of his life in Northern Virginia, commuting to the The Pentagon where he worked as a Department of Defense comptroller. On weekends, he enjoyed escaping to Virginia’s Northern Neck before eventually retiring to Florida.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Monika W. Ogburn.

He is survived by his two sons, Robert T. Ogburn of Ashburn,VA and Michael T. Ogburn of Raleigh,NC, as well as four grandchildren.

A graveside service will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Sunday, May 17, at St. Stephen's Episcopal Church.
