Funeral Service for A. Oliver Bell 97 of Ormond Beach who passed away at his home early Thursday February 9th will be held Saturday February 11th at 10:00 a.m at Lohman Funeral Home Ormond. His family will receive friends on Friday February 10th from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. at Lohman Funeral Home Ormond. He was born in Aiken County South Carolina on July 11 1908. He is preceded in death by his wife Marguerite Bell and is survived by his current wife Kay Tate his daughter Gloria Bell Byrd and her husband Bryant and their three children: Bryant Byrd Jr. Amy Byrd and her husband Todd Donlick and Oliver Stephen Byrd. He has three great grandchildren: Benjamin Donlick Mathew Oliver Donlick and Samuel Donlick. He is also survived by his nieces Shirley Chism and Sarah Helen Bland and his nephew Forest Franklin. Oliver moved to the area in 1954 from Spartanburg South Carolina. Since that time he has bought built traded and sold nearly 60 oceanfront properties including the Maverick and the Casa Del Mar. He lived life and practiced business with a no-nosense philosophy. In an interview with Seniors Today he said ?I?ve always know who I am and what?s important and that?s to pursue something and give something back to life.
